Terms of Use

This Terms of Use Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into between TutorBoost Inc. (“TutorBoost”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and you, governing your access to and use of TutorBoost’s website(s), applications, learning platforms, and online tutoring services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement and the included Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. User Eligibility and Accounts

By using the Services, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age, or a parent/legal guardian accessing the Services for a child.

  • Account Creation: To access the Services, you must create a User Account. If the student is under 18, a Parent User must manage the account.

  • Responsibilities: You must provide accurate information, maintain credential confidentiality, and use only one account per user. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

     

2. Fees, Payments, and Subscriptions

TutorBoost offers tutoring through prepaid packages and recurring subscription plans.

  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. TutorBoost does not store full credit card information.

  • Renewals: Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled according to the terms provided at purchase.

  • Price Changes: Prices and fees may change at any time, but changes will not affect already purchased prepaid services.

     

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are provided at the time of booking.

  • Advance Notice: Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice may be rescheduled or credited.

  • Late/No-Show: Late cancellations or no-shows may result in the forfeiture of the session.

  • Subscriptions: Missed sessions under a subscription plan are non-refundable.

  • Tutor Cancellations: If TutorBoost or a Tutor cancels, a replacement or credit will be issued.

4. User Acknowledgements

You acknowledge the following regarding the Services:

  • TutorBoost does not guarantee specific academic outcomes, grades, or admissions.

  • Services are supplemental and not a substitute for formal school instruction.

  • Tutors are independent contractors, not employees or agents of TutorBoost.

  • TutorBoost may use third-party technology, including artificial intelligence, to enhance service delivery.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Engage in academic dishonesty, such as completing graded work for a student.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm others.

  • Reverse engineer, copy, or commercially exploit the Services.

  • Upload unlawful or offensive content.

6. Liability and Governing Law

  • Disclaimer: Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

  • Liability Cap: Total aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

  • Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
